We were recently hosted at Hersheypark and it was a wonderful family experience. I have not visited in over 20 years and I jumped at the opportunity to share it with my family. Below are the top seven reasons why we think you should add Hersheypark to your list of must-do for the summer.
1.BBLz:
Think Hershey candies and Pepsi-Cola products mixed to give you colorful deliciousness. Check out what we thought about BBLz
2. Unlimited Drink and Dining Plans
For one low price, you can get a souvenir cup that allows you to fill up at multiple locations around the park. Pepsi fueled me throughout the day while the kids loved having Gatorade as an option.
With all the running around, it was great not to have to continually pull out my wallet to feed my growing kids. The dining plan allowed us to eat around the park and offered several options. It's rare that you find veggie options and chicken bowls, so I couldn't wait to try it.
3. Hershey Lodge
Very few amusement parks have an affiliated hotel and if they do most times all you can do is eat and sleep. The Hershey Lodge offers an amazing indoor water park, Water Works, which is a great option in the event of rain or maybe you just want to lounge. There is also a kids club, arcade and chocolate martinis:) Other lodging options include the Hotel Hershey or the Hersheypark Camping Resort.
4. Hang out on the Boardwalk
I had no clue that my favorite aspect of wave pools was available at Hersheypark. Cabanas!!! I am a cabana girl and this one allows for on-line reservation which offers complimentary soda, water, towels and sunscreen. I love this option to rest while the kids enjoy the water.
5. Adventure for All Ages
My family is extremely big on roller coaster and the bigger the thrill the better. We even had a friendly debate over which coaster we loved the best and then later went on and discovered one that we all loved- The Great Bear.
My daughter however was the real “roller coaster MVP” as she repeatedly rode Hershey's Triple Tower.
If your family, prefers something a little laid back there is plenty of that as well. We even stopped along the way to feed the ducks.
6. Chocolate World
The Sweetest place on earth has great options for every chocolate lover. You can select chocolate themed activities such as making your own candy bar or learning songs on the chocolate tour. We fell in love with the milkshakes with the extra chocolate goodies.
7. ZooAmerica
Your ticket admission includes access to an 11 acre walk through Zoo. I briefly went through as the kids were repeatedly riding the coasters. I only wish we had more time to explore and learn about each animal. You can however pay admission for just the zoo.
Hersheypark is now open 7 days a week for their summer season until September 4th. After that date, they’ll remain open on weekends through September 24th when they’ll close to prepare for the fall.

This park reminds me of wilderness at the smokies.. Hershey use to be on my bucket list of parks but it feel off and I’m not sure why. Maybe I will ask my husband about going next year
OMGOODNESS!! The town of Hershey by itself was amazing the one and only time I went! LOL. I can just imagine the fun at the park!!
We haven’t been back there in years! We did it as an adult getaway, and we had a blast. I definitley need to visit with the kids.
I have always wanted to go to Hershey Park! That unlimited drinks and lodging got me! Looks like fun! Thanks for this post!
I have been itching to get to Hershey, PA!!! Looks like a very fun event for you and your family! The picture of the shakes look AMAZING!!!
Where is this place? (Im from the UK ) It looks really fun. I felt alittle queezy watching the ride in the vlog though, especially after all that chocolate.
Love that the park offers free refills for one low price. That is one of my gripes about going to an amusement park is having to pay for the expensive drinks. The one low price for the refills would definitely be worth it. And I know for me, I would love Chocolate World. Lol! It’s very cool that there is a Zoo visit included with admission. It sounds like there is so much to do at Hershey Park. You probably would need a two-day experience to enjoy the full experience, I’m sure!
I remember going to Hershey Park when I was a teenager. We stopped there on a road trip from VA to Canada. It was a lot of fun, and it was my first time getting on a roller coaster.
This looks so fun! I bet your kids had a blast!
I would love the Hershey Park as it seems like a little something for everybody. I always enjoy the wave pool at water parks. I would def want to try the chocolate tour, making a chocolate bar seems fun. Where is the park located?
I am planning a trip to New York next year and will definitely make a stop on the way up to check out Hershey Park on our way up.
