Triple Negative Breast Cancer Day

Today is the date set aside to bring awareness to Triple Negative Breast Cancer. Breast cancer is generally diagnosed based upon the presence, or lack of, three “receptors” known to fuel most breast cancers: estrogen receptors, progesterone receptors and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2). The most successful treatments for breast cancer target these receptors. This breast cancer sub-type lacks all three receptors hence the name.  It is aggressive and found to occur more than any other sub-type so many live in constant fear.

On this day, I ask that you say a prayer for all those affected and consider making a donation to support further research and to assist those who live with this. I am honored to host a spring tea to raise funds as I want more than a cure.

  1. Thank you for explaining what this type of breast cancer is. I had heard of it but did not understand what it was.
