As if New York City didn't already offer lots to do, now you can add a visit to the International Car Show to your list. The show officially runs from April 19th through April 28th. I was able to get a sneak peak thanks to Girls Guide to Cars and Toyota, and I have a ticket giveaway so you can also experience it.
Located at the Jacob Javits Center, the New York International Auto Show (NYIAS) features three floors of cars, trucks and SUVS. Many of these vehicles made their debut at the show and there are a growing number of hybrid and electric cars available.
Walking the showroom for the Girls Night Out event sponsored by Toyota is a great way to mix two of my favorite past times- shopping and hanging with friends. Let's face it women buy cars differently than men and we are not just obsessed with the color or the engine but need functionality. Here are a few of my favorites for the night.
Cadiallac XT4: I had the opportunity to test drive this a few months ago and fell in love. In full disclosure, I never envisioned that I would be a Cadillac owner but the XT4 definitely changed my mind.
Slingshot:It's definitely not a practical car but it's fun to look at and sit in
Audi e-tron: Electric has gone Audi but you don't lose any of the functionality that Audi owners love.
Jeep Rubicon: This Jeep is off road ready and stylish. The royal blue color caught my eye but the fun and ruggedness of the car is what held my attention.
Rivian: Electric vehicles made a huge impression at the auto show and the Rivian did not disappoint. The SUV and Truck prototype had everyone wanting more. These vehicles scream adventure and travel. With a charge range of 230 – 400+, I say let's hit the road.
Jaguar: The I-PACE is the all electric car that was recently crowned World Car of the Year and also took awards for World Green Car of the Year and World Car Design of the Year. Jaguar took luxury electric SUV to an entirely new level and other manufacturers better take note.
Toyota Highlander: The all new 2020 Highlander was unveiled at NYIAS and it did not disappoint. Take a look at my sneak peak which includes a few other models.
There are definitely other brands that you can enjoy and “play” with which makes it an exciting trip. You might be surprised by the cars that become your favorite.
Wanna go? Comment below the vehicle that you are most excited to see and you can win four tickets. Winners will be chosen on April 24th so comment today.
