My daughter decided it was time for my final trim and I had to agree with her. My hair was thinning and shedding like an animal. This time my stylist daughter allowed her brother to take part. We even left a peice for my parents to cut. My sister tried to encourage me to keep the fake bang and do a comb over-NOT. I always wondered what my head would look like and now I know. It will take some getting use to but I am ready.
The affects from chemotherapy are definitely different for everyone. Most women told me their hair fell out completely after the second treatment and the pattern for which it falls out is very different. The process is very emotional for some but I encourage women to start making changes so it happens on their terms. I couldn't imagine waking up and finding my ponytail on the pillow.
Next step is to decide if I will wear a wig or just head coverings. What do you think?
