Imagine being a mom with a child that you want vaccinated but you are told that the closes place is over 50 miles away. Being a great mom, you decide to walk as nothing is too good for your child. You arrive at the destination after walking all night, only to be told that they have run out of vaccinations.
You read this scenario and think, this can not happen. You probably recall going to the pediatrician for the “well baby” visit and being given a list of vaccines available to your child along with the vaccination schedule. Have you ever thought what would happen if this were not available to you? Sadly, moms in developing countries know first hand what would happen. The statistics show that over 1.7 million children die from what are now preventable diseases such as pneumonia, diarrhea, measles and polio.
Mocha Moms Inc has teamed up with the United Nation's Shot@Life to help increase the awareness and funds to provide access to vaccinations to all children who need and want it. In honor of World Immunization Week, join me on Thursday, April 26, 2012 from 11:00 – 1:00 PM at JC Fireside Bistro in King of Prussia along with Mocha Moms Inc Northeast Region as we share information about this life saving initiative.
