Apparently the “joke” he told on the CMAs last night has everyone in an uproar. The award show aired on ABC in the same time slot as Blackish. His comment, “If you were looking for Black-ish tonight, yeah, this ain't it. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy White-ish” is painting him as a racist. As an African American, I was not offended by the comment as I thought it to mean that country music is mainly “white”. We have become a society that is extremely race sensitive and I completely understand the reasons why. My only concern is that we now place that title on people who may not be deserving. While I also believe that everyone is entitled to an opinion, you can't truly comment on how an African American should feel unless you are on. What are your thoughts?
