I welcome September with open arms because it marks the return of my favorite shows. I've been watching the trailers and previews with anticipation. Many networks even have some newbies débuting. So many shows and so little time but I am not worried because my Verizon Fios DVR can record up to twelve shows at one time. This matters to me because navigating back to school, sports and other obligations can get tricky and I need my TV fix to escape it all.
The kids are only allowed to watch thirty minutes of television during the school week but only after they have completed their required assignments. Of course they complain that this is not enough time and I laugh inside because I completely understand. The compromise is that they can each record 3 shows to watch during the weekends or if they earn extra viewing time. Surprisingly this avoids procrastination and the need to scream.
My Wednesdays just got a little happier as I can get a dose of Morris Chestnut every week with the debut of Rosewood. Morris Chestnut stars as Beaumont Rosewood Jr, a Miami private pathologist, who lends his expertise to solve crimes. This is a very different role for him but I am certain he can pull it off. In my mind, he has been my boyfriend since “Boys in the Hood”. Imagine my surprise to see him on the set of Dr. OZ. He was a true gentlemen and even indulged me in lots of conversation. I applaud his wife for allowing me to share him even after 20 years of marriage.
We can't neglect that some of my favorites are returning. I can't wait to catch up on the fashion especially the shoes. Will Cookie show out and will Olivia Pope get her own man?
What shows are you most excited about?
I’m ready for NCIS. We’ve been watching a bunch of other shows this summer, and I need my Gibbs fix.
Counting down the days until my street gets FIOS!!! Had it with Comcast
