The Covid-19 restrictions seem to change each week and if your family is looking for a way to safely enjoy a movie out of the house then drive in movies are the way to go. Amazon studios will be hosting a free drive-in screening of MANGROVE, the first film in the SMALL AXE anthology from Academy Award winning filmmaker Steve McQueen.
Named for the Jamaican proverb “If you are the big tree, we are the small axe,” SMALL AXE is a collection of five films inspired by real-life events about ordinary people showing courage, belief, and resilience to overcome injustice and achieve something transformative in their West Indian community.
The screening will be held next Wednesday (November 18th) at 7:30 PM at Shankweiler’s Drive-In in Orefield. Click here to grab your passes today.
