Hey there, movie lovers! Get ready to hold onto your seats and dive into the depths of the ocean with the highly anticipated sequel Meg 2: The Trench. Before you ask, I am not “crossing” the WGA (Writers Guild of America) or SAGAFTRA picket line. I applaud them for taking a stance and believe that everyone is entitled to fair wages and health care. They have encouraged movie goers to see and support movies as we can't forget that movie theaters are still suffering from Covid-19. I do encourage you to use the money saved on a ticket to donate to their fund.
I was invited to Dorney Park to view the movie and it was enjoyable. We watched the film under the lights in the wave pool and on land if preferred. There are definitely parts of the movie that left with me with questions but I think it is something the entire family can enjoy. The first film had more horror as I can recall screaming at the top of lungs during a few scenes. Meg2 had me laughing more than anything. The comedic relief of DJ (Page Kennedy) often made me forget that they were fighting for their lives. I also found myself trying to decide if I should buy that backpack and load it with essentials.
Jonas (Jason Statham ) and Juiming (Wu Jing) provided the right amount of laughter and seriousness but it's definitely hard to continue to horror in a film rated PG-13. You will want to love and hate Meiying (Shuya Sophia Cai) but she is a typical teenager that is curious and wants to do it her own way.

I saw the trailers for Meg 2, and I have to say that this film looks even more exciting than the first film. My wife is equally as excited about seeing Meg 2 as I am! If there’s a movie that will have me on the edge of my seat it’s definitely a must see, this is one of the reasons I’m excited about seeing it and also because I liked the first movie.
Because Jason Statham is in it, plus I really like the first one and I know the sequel is going to be just as good if not better!
