There was a light mist in the air, as we drove through deep fog going up the highway. At times, there was barely any visibility at, but when we saw the Camelback Lodge sign the mood in the car changed. We started to get excited as our Camelback adventure was just beginning. It had been years, since we visited so we could not pass up the invitation that we received from MomTrends.
A Day at Camelback
In a matter of minutes we had registered, been fitted for equipment and were off to snowboard school. Snowboarding took a different kind of balance than skies, but we would definitely recommend it to anyone new to the snow. The fog continually moved through even during our lessons. The camelback staff were excited in ensuring we were safe and having fun through our initial 90 minutes of learning how to snowboard.
Then went into the Canteen as our appetite was enormous after hanging out in the snow. We each enjoyed our quick snack favorites and re-hydrated a little. Then the important decision came. Do we go back out on the board or try the water park? After careful deliberation and a few rounds of voting the water park won out. This gave us time to relax in the Cabana and the kids enjoyed the endless amount of water fun in the dead of winter.
Camelback Lodge and Aquatopia indoor waterpark is nestled in the heart of Camelback Mountain in Tannersville, PA. A quick drive from the Philadelphia and New York area. It is the largest ski in/ski out indoor waterpark in the US. Overall this was a great experience, and I highly recommend you visit Camelback soon. My kids are already noting possible days that we can return.
Have you experienced Camelback Mountain?

You can’t beat being able to spend time on the slopes AND in a water park on the same day! If those smiles are any indication, they had a blast!
