People were stopping me daily to see what the placard around my neck meant. Someone asked if I was a VIP or just a Disney Junkie. I laughed because every day at Disney is like being a very important person and if you weren't already a junkie after one trip, you're hooked. This why I am always excited to attend the Disney Social Media Moms conference.
What is a Disney Social Media Moms?
Picture a group of social media influencers who don't keep their love of everything Walt Disney a secret. Disney Social Media Moms Celebration is a combination of press events and family vacations. Attendees are a mix of parent bloggers, travel bloggers, Disney focused bloggers and others.
Social media influencers are invited to spend a week filled with dynamic speakers and inspirational activities that we are sure will inspire you professionally and personally. It's here that we get a behind the scenes look at many of the future happenings both in the parks and out while making some lifelong memories with your family.
Let the Fun Begin
I instantly felt the pixie dust as I arrived in Orlando and boarded the Magical Express. Next stop, Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. As a previous guest of this resort, I loved that even though there is a convention center on site, it never seems to be overly crowded. The resort is in an expansion process but it did not affect my stay. I was given one of the newly renovated rooms that overlooks the lake. Coronado Springs Mexico is a picturesque property that has great trails, a health club, pools and restaurants all within walking distance to your room.
The welcome reception and parade with Pixar friends had everyone excited to learn future details of the upcoming Pixar attractions, including: Pixar Pier (Disney California Adventure Park), Pixar Fest (Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resort), and Toy Story Land (Walt Disney World Resort and Shanghai Disneyland).
The Fun Continues at Disney Social Media Moms
Early to bed and early to rise because how else could we experience Pandora- The World of Avatar. If you're a Disney fan, then I am sure you've seen the lines and probably said to yourself “never”. Let me be the first to say “never say never” The Flight of Passage exceeded my expectations and I am a tough critic. I literally felt like I was flying and actually made noises to let banshee know that I was ready.
After a delicious breakfast, we were free to explore Animal Kingdom but not before jumping in a boat to ride on the Na'vi river. The technology is so life like that it requires a double take but it's truly a testimony to just what to expect with the upcoming attractions. I can basically promise you that Star Wars Galaxy Edge and Toy Story Land will be amazing!
Surprisingly, I am not a “real” animal lover but I love Animal Kingdom. It's the one park that I tend to visit multiple times while at Walt Disney World. From the sounds of Africa and the Kilimanjaro Safari to getting soaked on the Kali River Rapids in the tip of Asia, it is constant fun!
We finished the day at Hollywood Studios where we were greeted by the art director of Walt Disney Imagineering Ryan Wineinger. He was all too excited to share details of Toy Story Land coming to Walt Disney World Hollywood Studios and later enjoyed a scrumptious dinner at PizzeRizzo sponsored by GoGoSqueez.
