I have never seen so many dads with babies in my entire life. I was at the mall over the weekend and I can honestly say I was in shock. Not just because daddy were with their babies, but it wasn't any awkwardness about it. The men were in full confidence without a mom in site.
I starting wondering just how much the world has changed in a short period of time. Years ago weekends were for men to maintain the house and watch some sporting event. The mommy and children would be out at the mall or elsewhere. So what changed? Why did it change? What happened?
I think we are in a generation of conscious men that would have appreciated more affection from their fathers. And now that they have the opportunity to provide this for their own child they don't want to give it up. Or it could be another reason, but regardless of it I liked it. Speaking for every mommy everywhere it is simply easier to care for your children when you have a supportive spouse to share the load.
