Marvel Studios’ Black Panther, Wakanda Forever is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. The film has already broken pre-sale ticket records and is a box office hit. But Black Panther is more than just another superhero movie. The film tackles important social and political issues. In anticipation of the release, the cast of “Black Panther” attended events around the world hosted by Walt Disney Studios, Marvel Entertainment.

The red carpet was filled with people including director Ryan Coogler who analyzed how cinema can be a powerful medium for social change! A tribute and donation was also made to the Chadwick Boseman foundation
Hollywood
The Hollywood Premiere of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” was a night fulled by stars and filmmakers. The purple carpet was bustling with activity as celebrities Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, Tenoch Huerta Mejía, Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Alex Livinalli and Mabel Cadena, and others walked the carpet while connecting with onlookers. Joining the stars were filmmakers Ryan Coogler (directed by/screenplay by), Joe Robert Cole (screenplay by), Kevin Feige and Nate Moore (producers), Louis D’Esposito and Victoria Alonso(executive producers), andLudwig Göransson (music by/score produced by/songs produced by). Also in attendance was global icon Rihanna, who returns to the airwaves with “Lift Me Up,” the lead single from the upcoming “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” original soundtrack.
African Premiere in Lagos, Nigeria
The official African premiere happened at Filmhouse Cinemas IMAX Lekki in Lagos, Nigeria. Director Ryan Coogler and stars Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke and Tenoch Huerta Mejía walked the black carpet alongside local musicians.

London was transformed into the mighty kingdom of Wakanda today, welcoming to the black carpet a host of stars to celebrate the upcoming release of Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.” Director Ryan Coogler joined stars Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, Tenoch Huerta Mejía, Martin Freeman, Florence Kasumba and Michaela Coel at London’s Cineworld Leicester Square.
New York City Premiere

Philadelphia Area Screening
King of Prussia was the location for the official screening and it was a fun night filled with a black panther sighting. Guest were encourage to adorn traditional attire as would be worn in Wakanda.
