Be a ready mommy

Being a mommy is no where near an easy task.   That being said there is no need not to be prepared for various challenges.  In my family, my hubby and I decided that he would work in corporate america.   I simply don't enjoy the politics of working as much as he does.   But the next step was properly an even better move when I went into real estate.

I've been fortunate to help people find their dream homes.   And I've been fortunate enough not to miss a beat in our children's life.  Every play, poem and class activity I have been there.   It may not seem like a lot now, but in the future it will pay huge dividends in our family.  Some of self confidence issues and the desire to align with the wrong element that children develop come from a lack of close involvement with between parents and children.

I am not talking being friends with your kids, but I am talking about being actively involved.   Your kids should know that if they stray too far that you are close enough to get them back in line.  This does take dedication and a willing sacrifice of your own time to make this work. After sacrificing thousands of hour, social and business opportunities I know it was well worth it.

And I even take pictures for my hubby when he is on the road.
