Are you truly committed?

Are you truly committed? 1I have a few friends that have been married for over 30 years, I have a bunch that have been married for over 15 years, a ton that have been married less than 10… but a PLETHORA of single friends.  Although I will always profoundly state, single people have no idea what it is truly like to be married, the same holds true for married people.   There are significant differences to highlight, but one of the common complaints is “My so and so is just not committed”

One thing that I have observed from some people is their willingness to project their own insecurities.  As it relates to being committed, I have seen that some people are not committed to supporting their significant other or spouse, yet they complain about not seeing the commitment.   One key thing to always remember, is Ghandi's quote “you must be the change you wish to see….”.   You can accept people for who and what they are, or painfully try to force them to change.  OR, you can consistently show and live through your own spirit of commitment.

If you are not the bacon, there is no need to complain about someone else being the eggs.

Very true that a lot of people do not want to do the give-take equation! Good point!

On an unrelated minor note, it’s Gandhi, not Ghandi.
