Mona is REALLY going through a tough time right now, but I think a lot of Mommies could relate to this situation. Please offer Mona some guidance to handle this situation. Mona’s interpretation of the event is below…
I swear I was not trying to see his Facebook account. Mike logged into his Facebook account on my computer and then suddenly a message pops up. So I play along just to see what this is about. I have never even heard Mike mention this Slick Chick before. Although we are connected on Facebook, I really don’t check his activity. I don’t see who has responded to his post, that is just too much to worry about. But just today, seeing this chick pop up, got to me. Honestly, if she were a mess, I probably would not have cared as much. But this single woman has NO BUSINESS chit chatting with my husband at 11pm Sunday night. So out of curiosity, I pretended to be Mike.
Slick Chick: Hey Mike, are you still bringing in lunch tomorrow?
Me (pretending to be Mike): Sure, anything in particular?
Slick Chick: I want what you promised me! That stir-fry chicken you made last time.
Me: Yup, already made, anything else?
Slick Chick: Since you asked, how about a drink after work?
Me: I don’t think my wife would like that?
Slick Chick: You never thought you wife would care before, why now?
(side note: At this point I am F*CKING FURIOUS, but I wanted to know more.)
Me: Well its a new day for everything.
Slick Chick: Oh, you must have got some this weekend. That sh*t will wear off and you will be back here in no time. She may have been nice for one weekend, but she will stop like always.
(side note: I bust out in tears. A mixture of anger, pain, disappointment and just sadness.)
the Mommies: Mona Mike is an attractive guy. Just because some chick is talking slick, doesn’t mean he did anything wrong.
Mona: I want to believe that, but my gut is telling me something different. My gut is just saying there is more to this. A LOT more than I know, and I don’t know if I want to know.
the Mommies: TRUST YOUR GUT! And let that Slick Chick know who you are, maybe she will tell you really what’s going on.
Mona: That last comment just got to me though. Am I doing something wrong? Am I driving him away? Does he really feel unfulfilled with us? We don’t talk about our relationship anymore. I mean its been 9 years, he knows me and I know him…. Or at least I thought I did.
the Mommies: Mona you know men are not too bright. That Slick Chick could have orchestrated this whole thing. I am not saying Mike is or is not happy, but you need to find out what’s going on.
Mona: I so hate Facebook.
